We are currently seeking a professional and experienced Pilot Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a pilot vehicle to lead and escort oversized or wide loads through various routes while ensuring safety and compliance will all applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
· Proven work experience as a pilot driver, in similar industry
· Valid Class 5 drivers’ license, with a clean commercial abstract
· Familiarization with traffic laws and regulations
· Ability to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, & being away from home
· Excellent customer service skills
· Knowledge of oversize permits in Alberta and British Columbia
· Professional appearance and demeanor
· Strong communication and organizational skills
Road Flagger Training considered an asset.
Responsibilities:
· Operate a pilot vehicle safely
· Pilot oversized, extraordinary loads efficiently.
· Communicate effectively with transport team members
· Conduct pre and post trip inspections
· Ensure compliance with all regulations
· Maintain accurate records of transport activities
· Assist in coordinating logistics and schedules with the transport team.
· Review route and permits with team members prior to departure, ensure understanding of route expectations.
